How much do you charge?

How do sessions run?

Sessions are about one hour long and include a warmup, shadowboxing, footwork drills, calisthenics and conditioning, and pad work. The ratio of one training methodology or subject matter focus to another depends on the individual. As a trainer, it’s my job to assess what’s necessary to improve your technique and get you closer to your goals.

I don’t have any experience, can I still train with you?

Yes. I train absolute beginners as well as seasoned martial artists. You don’t need to have any prior training or experience and we can start at whatever level you’re at.

can you come to my gym/building and train me there?

I don’t typically travel to students, but I’m willing to consider if you live nearby. Separate pricing exists for house calls.

Whats the difference between boxing, kickboxing, and muay thai? which one do you teach?

There are a number of sport-style martial arts that are also effective fighting and self defense systems. There are different rule sets in competition, but generally speaking, boxing focuses on striking with the hands, kickboxing adds kicks and knees, and Muay Thai adds elbows and clinch fighting. There are many more details beyond that, but broad strokes distinctions can be described as above. I can teach all, as well as considerations grappling, with a lean towards self defense and real-world fighting.

Do i need equipment?

Yes. We can do our first class without any, but eventually you’re going to want boxing gloves and wraps so we can adequately hit the pads. If we continue to sparring (as some students do), you’ll get shin pads and a mouthguard as well.

Do you offer free trials?

I do not. I offer plenty of free classes and tutorials online and I believe my reviews and social media content speak for themselves. That said, if you’d like to see my general teaching style, many of the gyms I teach out offer free trials, so you can find me there in a group setting.
